SKY LOUNGE

Situated on the 5th floor of the Attide Boutique Hotel, the view of the airfield from this luxurious pub and fine dining restaurant were considered a remarkable design asset. With a glass skin and a glass ceiling, the views from and towards the space accentuate the vastness of the open skies around and the 4.5-meter volume it embodies.

 

A chic, black and brass theme drapes the interior space, extending to the geometric patterns on the floor, ceiling and furnishing. The rear end of the pub is contained within a smaller volume for a cosy fine-dining space wrapped with jaalis inspired by the ‘Mughal’ aesthetic with grooved marble-clad walls. A modern abstraction of a corbelled arch separates this space from the rest of the pub. The bar is circular in shape at the intersection of the two spaces. A circular composition was decided upon to have unimpeded views. A variety of seating areas create a diversity to choose from, lending a casual ‘outdoorsy’ ambience to the main pub.
